Breckenridge Community Schools is excited to announce our participation in the Michigan Department of Education's Meal to Go program for summer 2026. This program provides multiple meals to children and teens during the summer months when school is not in session.
Beginning June 11, families can pick up free meal kits between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Kits contain a full week's worth of breakfast and lunch for your child.

Please join us for Buddies, Books, and Bagels in the Breckenridge Elementary cafeteria on Friday, May 8, 2026, anytime between 7:30–8:30 a.m.
Come spend 10-15-20 minutes enjoying breakfast, exploring our BOGO Book Fair, and visiting our Book Swap table with your buddy(ies). Don’t forget to bring a book to swap! Please take some time to sit and read in our library spaces, cafeteria or gym with your child prior to leaving in the morning.
Title One will also have a sign-up sheet available for families to request simple at-home literacy and math activities, along with a list of helpful websites to use with your child(ren) over the summer. These resource bags will be sent home in your child’s backpack during the last week of school.
We look forward to seeing you there and hope you enjoy this special time with your child!

Our 8th graders had an incredible day exploring the Mt. Pleasant GI-TEC center! 🚌✨
The tours were top-notch, but the best part? Seeing our very own juniors and seniors in action! From high-tech labs to hands-on workshops, our older students did an amazing job showcasing the programs they’ve been mastering.
It was inspiring to see our middle schoolers getting a firsthand look at the career paths and skills waiting for them in just a few short years. The future is bright! 🌟
