Join us on Monday, November 11th, 2024, at 9:45 a.m. in the HS Gym as we honor our active duty members and veterans. Attending veterans and active duty members are invited to enjoy lunch with our high school students after the assembly. ๐ฝ๏ธ

What an incredible week for our Huskies! From football domination to volleyball victories, our athletes are showing up big time! Let's dive into all the exciting action from the past week:
๐ Varsity Football:
Our varsity football team is on ๐ฅ! They traveled to Byron on Friday night and came away with a dominant 43-7 victory. Teamwork and grit were on full display, and these guys played tough. Full Game Stats are at the bottom of the post.

Gavin Corbat: 9/12 passing, 125 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT; 7 carries, 45 yds, 2 TD
Zander Mapes: 11 carries, 92 yds, 1 TD; 7 tackles, 2 passes defended, 1 INT, 1 forced fumble
Trey Most: 6 receptions, 101 yds, 1 TD; 6 tackles, 5 passes defended, 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery returned 62 yds for a TD
Braxton Clapp: 10 tackles
Our defense was unstoppable, and our offense kept the pressure on from start to finish. Special shoutout to our kicker Justin Pryor, who went 5/5 on PATs! The Huskies are on a roll, and we can't wait to see more! ๐ช
๐ JV Football:
The JV squad also picked up a huge win on Wednesday night, defeating Byron 48-27. The team gave an amazing effort, and we couldnโt be more proud. Bentley McLaren had some long, explosive runs, and Brock Mayle added a highlight-reel pick-6! Keep it up, JV Huskies! ๐ฅ
๐ Varsity Volleyball:
Tuesday nightโs Pink Out game was electric! The girls swept Coleman in three sets (25-12, 25-15, 25-10). It was a true team effort, with everyone stepping up.

Liz McCaw: 13 kills
Maddie Breece: 5 kills, 6 aces
On Saturday, the girls continued to shine at the Ithaca Sweetheart Invite, finishing as runner-ups against a strong field of teams. Amazing job, ladies! We are so proud of your hard work! ๐๐
๐ JV Volleyball:
Our JV volleyball team put up a fight against Coleman on Tuesday, winning 2 out of 3 sets (25-22, 24-26, 15-6). They battled hard and never gave up, proving that their determination pays off! Way to finish strong, girls! ๐ช
๐ด Equestrian:
A huge shoutout to our equestrian team for competing in two tough days at states! We're incredibly proud of Ava DeVuyst and Lauralei McGill for representing Breckenridge. What a great seasonโwe canโt wait to see whatโs next! ๐
๐ฃ Sideline Cheer:
Our cheerleaders brought the energy on Wednesday night as they rallied the crowd during the JV game! Your enthusiasm and spirit make every game more exciting. Keep up the amazing work, ladies! ๐
๐โโ๏ธ Cross Country:
Our cross country team had a break from competition this week, but they're gearing up for their next challenge at the MSAC Jamboree at Uncle Johnโs Cider Mill this Wednesday. Good luck, runners! ๐โโ๏ธ๐
โณ Girls Golf:
On Monday, the golf team wrapped up their season at regionals, placing 8th out of 13 teams at Mt. Pleasant Country Club. These girls have shown tremendous improvement and growth this season. Weโre so proud of you all!

Attention parents! Next Friday, October 18 marks the end of the first marking period. You can view your students grades via PowerSchool, and communicate with the teachers directly on the Breckenridge Community Schools app via Rooms. If you have questions about using either of those apps, please reach out to Ms. Short - kshort@breckhuskies.org.
And mark your calendars for Parent Teacher Conferences! MS/HS conferences will be taking place on November 13th & 14th from 4-7 pm in the HS Gym. We hope to see you there!
Reminder parents that tomorrow is a half day for students and we dismiss at 11:20 at the elementary. Our Halloween parade will begin at 10:00 for Preschool and 10:30 for K-5th Grade. Parents may line up in the gym. If you are here and have a pumpkin please take it home with you tomorrow and any another pumpkins will need to be picked up by noon. We can't wait to celebrate Halloween with you!
Also, tomorrow October 31st Breckenridge's Trick or Treat hours are from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
