


Breckenridge Athletics Weekly Update (12/29–1/5)
It was a great week to be a Huskie! The Boys JV/Varsity and Girls Varsity Basketball teams traveled to Midland Calvary Baptist and brought home a Triple Dippin Dub, with all three teams securing impressive victories. The Cheer team also kicked off their season with a strong performance at their first competition at Midland High School.
🏀 Boys Basketball
Varsity: The Varsity boys secured a hard-fought 47-34 victory over Midland Calvary Baptist. The Huskies jumped to an early lead, weathered a second-half comeback attempt, and finished strong. Outstanding effort, boys!

The Cheer team kicked off their season at their first competition at Midland High School. The Huskies showcased their hard work and dedication, delivering an impressive performance on the mat. We’re proud of their focus and determination – keep it up, team!

Varsity: The Varsity girls beat Midland Calvary Baptist with a 53-26 win! Despite a slow start, the girls turned it on in the third quarter and pulled away late. Excellent teamwork and effort!

Breckenridge Athletics Weekly Update: December 15-22
As the holiday break approaches, our athletic schedule begins to quiet down, with basketball taking center stage this past week. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams were in action, displaying their hard work and dedication. Over the break, Breckenridge basketball will be back in action on December 30, as both teams travel to Midland Calvary Baptist. Until then, we wish everyone a joyful holiday season!
Boys Basketball
Varsity: The boys’ varsity team wrapped up the week with a 1-1 record, showcasing strong efforts and perseverance.
Game 1: The Huskies defended their home court with a gritty 51-44 victory over Carson City. The team stayed resilient, maintaining their lead until the final buzzer.

JV: The JV boys impressed this week, going 2-0 with wins over Carson City and Sacred Heart.
Game 1: Breckenridge defeated Carson City 46-31, led by Gavin Corbat with 18 points, Isaac Bush with 11, and Carter Suhr with 9. The team displayed great energy and teamwork.
Game 2: Breckenridge secured a 47-25 win against Sacred Heart, fueled by Gavin Corbat’s 21 points and Carter Suhr’s 17.
Girls Basketball
Varsity: The girls’ varsity team played one game this week, traveling to Sacred Heart for a challenging matchup. Despite falling 62-31, the team battled hard throughout the game.

JV: The JV girls split their games this week with a 1-1 record.
Game 1: Breckenridge won 40-11 with standout performances from Brinley Humm (9 points), Lydia Slavik (8 points), and Sam Haworth (8 points). The team dominated with strong defense and scoring balance.
Game 2: The JV team fell 45-11 in their second matchup. Sam Haworth led with 4 points, while Lydia Slavik and Da’sia Denwiddie also contributed.
