Breckenridge Athletics Weekly Update (1/26-2/2) What a week for Breckenridge Athletics! The Boys and Girls Bowling teams dominated the MSAC Team Championship, bringing home the CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES! Both teams earned the #1 seed in qualifying and finished strong in match play to take the titles. Meanwhile, basketball teams battled through tough matchups, JV squads continue to make big strides, and our athletes are showing incredible determination. Bowling MSAC Team Champions! JV Bowling The JV squad took down powerhouse Bullock Creek in an 18-12 victory at Riverwood. The young Huskies are starting to gel and improve every week. A highlight was the second Peterson match, where they rolled a 595—the highest JV Peterson match since the 2021-2022 season! Top Performers: Braxton – PB 159 Auna – Just one pin shy of her PB with 144 Adrian – Two solid 111 games, his second-highest ever Varsity Bowling In Gladwin, both Varsity squads suffered tough losses—the first of the season for the girls. A slow start in Baker games put the Huskies behind early, making it difficult to recover. Breckenridge Athletics Weekly Update: 1/19-1/26 This week brought some unexpected schedule changes, with two snow days causing cancellations and disruptions. Despite that, our athletes showed resilience and put forth strong performances across multiple sports! Boys Basketball Varsity: The boys played two home games, defeating Ashley on Tuesday (58-29) and battling Fulton to a hard-fought overtime loss on Thursday (46-48). The effort against Fulton was a standout, as they took the game into extra time.
